WELCOME
We would like to welcome all our new families to Niton Preschool.
It is lovely to see the children settling in so well and enjoying their time with us.
Welcome back to all our existing families. It is so good to see the children returning so confidently after the summer break.
Please ensure your child has everything they need for the day;
- a healthy snack for the morning,
- a change of clothes,
- nappies & cream (if used)
- indoor shoes or slippers now that the weather is colder,
- and a healthy packed lunch.
We ask that all belongings are clearly labelled.

We have a water machine and milk for the children to drink, so please NO drinks bottles.
This is for health and hygiene reasons.

Letters and Sounds Activity –
Learning songs and rhymes –
It’s great to make singing and rhyming activities part of your daily routines, bedtime is the perfect time or at times when events occur such as singing
‘it’s raining its pouring’ when out in the rain. Sing or chant nursery rhymes and encourage actions or movement to the songs.
You can always put objects relating to the rhymes in a box and ask your child to choose a different one each night at bedtime to sing along with you.
We look forward to
sharing this Autumn Term with you all

This term we will be looking at birds, trees and nature.
If you go ourtfor walks please send us photos via the Famly app.
The children are starting to recognise different birds and trees.

We are using the Famly app.
By now you should have all logged in to your child’s Famly account.
This platform will be used to provide regular observations and photographs of your child, along with invoices and other billing-related communications.
Please clear any outstanding bills
If you have any questions about your child’s Famly account, please ask and we will be happy to help.
NO TOYS AT PRE-SCHOOL!
Please DO NOT allow your child to bring toys to preschool.
They get lost, broken and can cause a choking hazard if not age appropriate.
Thank you for your co-operation.

Fees update.
Please note there will be a fee increase effective from 1st September 2026.
We accept government funding and payment through tax free childcare.

We have noticed people sending in water bottles with juice, this is against our policy. This was noticed in an early years inspection.
This would be an OFSTED fail.
On Thursdays, we will continue to visit the library.
Please make sure your child’s library book is returned before Thursday each week so that they can choose and bring home a new one.
Thank you for your support!
If you have any news from home that you would like to share, please let us know!
We have a News Wall where you can add announcements, photos or special news from home. We love talking about these with the children during together time and sharing their exciting experiences with the group.

Grapes
These are a choking hazard.
Grapes should be always cut lengthways and in quarters. This is to ensure they are swallowed easier and not get lodged in airways.
Grapes are the same size as a child’s windpipe.

We would love it if you were able to leave a review on our Google page:
